A teen from Salt Lake City, UT was cited after rapping their order at a mcdonalds is heading for trial. The teen is being acused of disorderly conduct after rapping at the drive-through. The teen said he was imitating a rap from a popular youtube video.

How can they take someone to court for rapping through the the drive through but you can't take mcdonalds to court for giving you the wrong order or forgetting shit? What if someone was allergic to something and accidentally took a bite of it?
The egotistical bastards. Why sue? I could understand being annoyed but who sues? I shampooed my hair in a fucking puddle in front of my local grocery store, after popping pills (that I just got from the store) and smoking a cig.
It seems like everything is turning to pure ignorant garbage in the good old USA.
Freedom of speech? Nope.
Freedom of religion? Hell no!
Freedom of thought? Not really...

I think that was a Taco Bell commercial, but yeah, that's the first thing that came to mind when I read this too.
I try to not say this too often because it's a fucked up world in general, but in this case I can't contain myself. Only in America.
I don't know, there's not a lot of info on this story, but I worked fast food in high school, and there were quite a few disorderly obnoxious a-holes that came through that were deserving of at least a citation. We never nailed anyone, though, unless they met all of the following criteria: rude obnoxious a-hole that is clearly intoxicated. Then, call 911, give them the plate number, and by the time the customer got their order and pulled forward the cruiser was there waiting for them. Sweet sweet instant justice.

True, need a little more info in the story to put it into correct context. Was it only rapping? or was the guy blattingly causing a disturbance... I've been through Utah though, it was probably just rapping. Some of the folks there are pretty anal. I'm sure if that is the case they will be able to get off easily with a violation of the person's right to Freedom of Speech.

The main reasons they are in Utah was because they wanted to live in an area free of persecution and Utah at the time didn't have many folks living in it. I don't even think it was a state at the time, will have to look that one up. They had moved from NY to Ohio to Missouri to Illinois and set up their own community for a few years. Their differences and beliefs whether religous or political with the rest of the US populace kept them moving. Their religous beliefs were different than normal Christian "Standard Bible" beliefs and 2 other main differences were Polygamy and the fact that they were abolishonists opposed to slavery, hence why they left Missouri. Ironic that the country that was founded on the belief and desire to live in a nation free from religous persecution had now turned a 180. After Joseph Smith, their founder, was murdered in Illinois in 1846 I think, they headed deep into the western territories, under the leadership of Brigham Young, settling in what is now known as Utah.
