For example, I personally did not like the way NIN turned out with The Slip. But the music was still good, just not my favorite taste. Does that make sense to you?

Talking about The Slip, it wasn\'t as good as other NIN albums imo, but there were some good songs in it like 1,000,000, Echoplex, and Head Down, but it was nice from Trent to give it away for free.

I don't know how the music on The Slip is any better than the music on The High End of Low.

All of you who think you might be disappointed with the new album need to sit down and shut up when the promoting begins like any good fan should do.

Everybody will be sitting down and shutting up when the new album comes out, even the fans saying that it might be a disappointment. Who wants to listen to their favorite musician's new album when they're talking or standing around? We need to be comfortable and in a position where we can give it our full attention. :D :D

Anyway, the music on The Slip has been admired for it's texture and construction. There are many parts about it that I can't appreciate because I don't know how to make music, but most musicians I have talked to have said that it is a very well done album. For example, take a look at Queens of the Stone Age. Most of their songs sound bland and plaint o me, but for someone who knows all the "behind the scenes" on the instruments, it's easy to appreciate and every song sounds different. I don't have that.
