This does sound like great news, I particuarly like the bit about releasing his next record sooner. I don't think labels are the way for any band to go these days they do restrict an artist in too many ways can't show your full creative potential when your being blocked at every turn so pretty optimistic about this.
That sounds fucking awesome. Thanks for posting.
:D
That is the best news I've heard in a long time! <3
Actually when it comes to Manson, I don't think I've heard better news.
Well... What I mean to say is that it sucks it's not working out with the label, but it's great Manson will finally have his creative freedom. It's really sad it was never supported by the label in the first place. I think it will be nice to finally have Manson perceived as the artist that he is, and less of the "product" the label would like to make him out to be.

That's great :) I hope he'll now make full use of that and we'll get to see some great things. It can be hard when a big label is not "pushing you" though, but Interscope wasn't doing it anyway, so this is sure very good...
I hate that it's due to lack of record sales, but considering how much (or how little, in this case) they promoted THEOL, I'm glad they are parting ways.
Maybe we will indeed get some new music sooner than later.

In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death
Finally! :) I'm really looking forward to the next album.
Finally he can be artistic and release the music he wants, instead of being bound by suits that only want money, yet don't even promote his albums. Way to go Manson! :D

Finally, and a new record(even sooner then before) sounds great. i wonder if they came up with a new sound or if their just going to make it sound like High End Part 2(or did he say they were just writing the songs one the go?). This makes my day and its awesome to hear manson is now able to do everything the way he wants to without some parent-like figure restraining him.
So we started writing new songs on the road — a bit like [David Bowie's album] 'Aladdin Sane' — I think people can expect a new record a lot sooner than we
[expected].
That's pretty fuckin' amazing!
Just can't wait.
And I'm glad he splitted with the record label. Freedom to create it's all he needs.
This is fucking awesome! Thanks for posting!
Just when I thought my day couldnt get any better..

That's some great news there! I'm really curious to see and hear what's next.

Best news I've heard in ages.
I almost cried!
God, this erratic years are over, now?
We've got a powerful band, freed of all contract slavery, and ready to rape the world!
I hope there won't be another leg of the tour, and that after december 21st they'll be back in studios for the new record.
I wonder what will happen next. What new label will scoop him up? Or will he go 'indie' like Rent Friendster?
