Armageddon could have been a huge hit if it got the proper promotion and if any new band debuted with The High End Of Low today they'd be guaranteed a performance spot alongside Lady Gaga or the rest of the pop trash on the VMAs and hailed as the next 'brek through" act. from musically, conceptually, songwriting and artistry.
fuck Interscope and the record industry. the most promotion i've seen of THEOL were a few posters plastered on vacant walls in LA, not one TV promo spot or anything of the like.
this is an OFFICIAL call-out to the fans to do your part and promote the new video single everywhere. call your local radio stations, email / write to Rolling Stone, MTV, FUSE, SPIN, Perez, VH1, YRB, Blender, CNN, MSNBC, post to your blogs, MySpace, Twitter, Facebook, etc, etc, etc... you get the point.
anyone who thinks that fan response isn't important these days is as useless as Helen Keller in a submarine. record companies would base the release of a group's next single on the date of a video's retirement on TRL to use one glaring example.
fuck the mainstream ; let's drive this one home where it belongs for the first time.
