I can't get it. IE won't stop denying the Active-X control because it can't verify the publisher. Got all my settings set as low level security as I can get them, accepting all cookies, added the site to the trusted sites list, nothing. Steaming pile of fail.

I would recommend Google Chrome. It's Much Much faster and never fails

Try this in IE:
Click on Tools, Internet Options. Then click on the Security tab, click the "Custom level" button. Find "Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt" and change it to enable. Next find "Download unsigned ActiveX controls", change this one to prompt.
Save it, restart IE, should be working now.

Google Chrome is no good here as it accepts only IE (tried it). I had the computer turned off for an hour and now a miracle - it plays and I can see the picture too... weird but I am happy!! Can't record it though - is there someone who can?

As of the settings I can't really help, I am not sure what I did that it plays now. It didn't play at first too, it said something "content blocked" - then it asked me what I'd like to do and I chose to play it and it worked... psychedelic at first but now it's fine... weird computers.

I turned off my firewall. I disabled Protected Mode, I restarted it two or three times, I set anything that mentioned a publisher to Allow All and not a fucking thing. I can add this to the ever-lengthening list of why I don't like IE.
