I really wanted to attend this show, but unfortunately I mentioned it too late to a friend of mine and she can't work her magically skills in time for us to attend. I imagine there will be a later tour that passesthrough, hopefully a little closer to where I live. :)

Yeah, I put Dallas as my location (in the past), I believe, but that is just the closest big city ...
We did find our extra concert goers however they are short on extra money. Too bad, and I wasn't wanting to stay at The W - they are suppossed to be kind of "trendy". My friend who is going to Chicago this coming weekend had mentioned having reservations for the one located there. It sounded nice excepting everyone's budget. :) Oh well... we will only be there for fleeting moments in any case :) so, another day, another time
And, we did order a bottle of Mansinthe as well.

The largest closest city for myself is technically New Orleans, while Houston is further, but exponentially better than NOLA. Dallas is a six hour drive and the only time I have ever been there was last year's evacuation.
I wouldn't fuss much over the room since (as you said) you'll only be there temporarily. Enjoying yourself is what matters most. :)
