What are the maximum avatar dimensions?
Avatars larger than 105px by 105px will be resized.
What are the maximum signature dimensions?
Signatures larger than 640px by 180px will be cropped.

I've lost my password!
Don't panic! While your password cannot be retrieved it can be reset. To do this go to the login page and click I've forgotten my password. Follow the instructions and you should be back online in no time.
I registered in the past but cannot log in anymore!
Make sure you are logging in with your email-address, not your screenname. If you have been banned for past terms of service infractions you will not be able to login and interact on the BABALON message forums.
How do I change my settings?
All your settings (if you are registered) are stored in the database. To alter them click the Profile link (generally shown at the top of pages but this may not be the case). This will allow you to change all your settings.
What's the deal with these forum ranks?
Forum ranking is determined by post count. Special or additional access is not allowed to members of higher ranks at this time but is merely a method of displaying site seniority and interaction. The only ranks which must be given, as opposed to attained by post count, are Deity / Administrator and Demigod / Moderator.
Why do I get logged off automatically?
If you do not check the Remember me box when you log in, the board will only keep you logged in for a preset time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in, check the box during login. This is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, university cluster, etc.
Why can't I log in?
Have you registered? You must register in order to log in and must confirm the account creation link contained withing your registration email. If you have been banned for past terms of service infractions you will not be able to login and interact on the BABALON message forums.
Posting
The BABALON forums use a rich text editor which allows for dynamic and customizeable text, much like Miscrosoft Word. The option to insert images, special characters and YouTube / MySpace video links are all present by clicking the appropriate button on your text editor after clicking "New Reply" or "New Topic".
I can't post / My text editor will not load!
Wait a moment or else click 'refresh' on your browser window. The rich text editor, while dynamic, may take a moment to load the first time depending on your browser and the speed of your connection. If the problem persists, navigate away from the posting page and revisit shortly. If problem continues to persist contact a forum administrator.
I have received a spamming or abusive email from someone on this board!
Please report such actions or harassment to the board administrators, along with all correspondences or received content from the user you believe is harassing you and the issue shall be dealt directly with the perpetrator or may warrant a banning of the harassing user.
Information requests on users
Information on any user will never be shared with anyone alleging to be a friend, family member or government agency. Your privacy as a member of the BABALON forums shall remain uninfringed upon and will not be given out.
What are Administrators?
Administrators are people assigned the highest level of control over the entire board. These people can control all facets of board operation which include setting permissions, creating moderators, etc. They also have full moderator capabilities in all the forums.
What are Moderators?
Moderators are individuals whose job it is to look after the running of the forums from day to day. They have the power to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move and delete topics. Generally moderators are there to prevent people going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material.
How do I become a Moderator?
By invitation only if the need arises for an additional hand needed for moderating the BABALON forums. Generally requests to become moderators will be summarily ignored and result in a less likelihood of the requestion user to be appointed as such.
What are Announcements?
Announcements often contain important information and you should read them as soon as possible. Announcements appear at the top of every page in the forum to which they are posted.
What are Sticky topics?
Sticky topics appear below any announcements in viewforum and only on the first page. They are often quite important so you should read them where possible.
What are Locked topics?
Locked topics are set this way by either the forum moderator or board administrator. You cannot reply to locked topics. Topics may be locked for many reasons.
